I am excited to share a photo diary with you to give you a little insight into our trip last year and the wonderful world of Helle Mardahl. We were lucky enough to journey with the Helle Hardhal team to Holmegaard just outside of Copenhagen where the glass blowers were working on the new ‘Perfect Bowl’. Seeing this process from sketch to creation was something truly special, and to think such a small hand blown piece requires three glass artisans to bring it all together makes you realise just how unique these treasures are.
A trip to the new Copenhagen Flower Markets was an experience I will never forget, accompanied by Poppy our Creative Development Manager we explored Europe's floral bounty all under one roof, so many familiar varieties but also varieties, colours and styles we’d never seen or worked with. Poppy spent the day creating work from this haul with full access to the Helle Mardahl archives, this was a pinch me moment.
